JFR FUNNY CARS ON DISPLAY AT INDIANAPOLIS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

JFR FCs at Indy  airport 5 emailAs thousands of NHRA Full Throttle Racing Series fans begin to arrive in Indianapolis today for the 58th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals they will be greeted by two John Force Racing Ford Mustang Funny Cars. The Castrol GTX High Mileage Ford Mustang driven by John Force and the Warbird P-51 Ford Mustang Funny Car driven by John Force at the 2011 Night Under Fire match race will be on display at the Indianapolis International Airport starting today for fans and travelers getting revved up for the biggest NHRA race in the country.

“It is really an honor to have two of our Mustang Funny Cars on display in the Indianapolis Airport again. Last year we got a great response and I know this year will be even better. The Mac Tools US Nationals is the biggest race of the year for us and it always gets my blood pumping when I see my Funny Car in the airport,” said John Force, a four-time Mac Tools U.S. Nationals winner.

“The week leading up to Indy will be big for us. We’ll have the Funny Cars on display starting today. Courtney Force, my youngest daughter and driver of the Traxxas Ford Mustang, is throwing out the first pitch on Monday at the Indianapolis Indians game then we go right to the Wednesday press conference where hopefully she’ll get the last spot in the Traxxas Shootout. We have our huge Car Show on Thursday at our shop in Brownsburg with Bill Estes Ford and then we get to go racing.”

The 58th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals will begin nitro qualifying on Friday, August 31 at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.
