“DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE” OPPORTUNITY FOR COMPETITION PRODUCTS DRAGSTER
Gary Bingham aims to double his pleasure in racing the Competition Products dragster at the new Farmington Dragway this weekend. The scheduled Farmington Pro Am event plays host to the rained out Mooresville Pro Am, giving IHRA Division 9 racers their first double event.
“The dragster is ready. Competition Products has provided the best parts on the market. Consistency is a key component in Top Dragster competition and we have it. The E.T.’s have been within hundredths in the 9 prior events in which we have competed. We have raced well and raced hard but the wins have not gone to us. We plan to change that this weekend. Bingham Motorsports has its sights set on putting the Competition Products dragster in the winner’s circle. And a double win would only double our pleasure,” Gary states with a smile.
Gary Bingham will compete in the rain delayed Mooresville Pro Am event on Saturday at Farmington Dragway. On Sunday, he will compete in the Tournament of Champions (TOC) qualifier Farmington Pro Am event.
“We really want to be part of the Tournament of Champions at Memphis in October. A win on Sunday will assure us of a place in that race. We are looking to racing at Memphis and having a place in the TOC will allow us to double our racing pleasure there, competing in both the TOC and Summit Sportsman Spectacular. Racing always brings us pleasure but winning rounds and racers doubles our pleasure.”
Gary’s two runs on Friday at Farmington were within a hundredth of each other and his reaction times within five thousandths. “We’re ready.”
Double pleasure in racing is a tradition in Bingham Motorsports. Gary and his daughter Christy “doubled” with wins in Top Sportsman and Quick Rod on June 11, 2000 at the Emerald Coast Pro Am. Gary and his daughter Lisa “doubled” at the North American Nationals at New England Dragway by winning Top Sportsman and Quick Rod. Now Gary’s goal is to add double wins to his personal race resume’.
