2012 NNDRA LEGION OF HONOR AWARDS ANNOUNCED
The National Nostalgia Drag Racing Association announced their 2012 Legion of Honor awards as presented at the 11th Annual Musclecar Madness at the York Reunion at the York Expo Center, York Fairgrounds on July 13, 2012.
The annual awards are presented to the deserving recipients for their many contributions to the performance industry and to drag racing from the early days of the 50’s thru the 80’s era. The recipients are affectionately classified as pioneers of the sport. Each recipient receives an individual award, a prized photo from the archives of their racing history, and their names are placed upon a perpetual award that is on display at the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing located off US Route 15 in York Springs, Pennsylvania. The perpetual award remains in the museum in perpetuity.
The distinguished group contributed in varying degrees of involvement, some as racers, as officials, and industry representatives with dedication far beyond the call of duty. The NNDRA presents the Legion of Honor awards annually at this event which is symbolic of a Hall of Fame presentation.
