JOHN FORCE TRAVELING ROAD SHOW AT SONOMA-AREA WAL-MART STORES
Select Sonoma-area Wal-mart stores will be transformed this week into pit stops for some of the world’s most powerful races cars including the 8,000 horsepower Castrol GTX “25th Anniversary” Ford Mustang in which recent International Motorsports Hall of Fame inductee John Force won the 2010 NHRA Funny Car Championship.
At each of five designated Wal-mart stores, race fans will have access to a kiosk through which they can acquire information on the John Force Traveling Road Show, enter the Castrol sweepstakes and watch a looped DVD that includes Team Castrol racing highlights.
In addition, consumers can save $7 on the purchase of a minimum of five quarts of Castrol motor oil or save the same amount on a Castrol oil change and, in the process, enter to win special prizes including a 2012 Ford Fiesta.
Other prizes include a Fantasy Race Weekend to the NHRA Auto Club Finals in Pomona, Calif., in November, a Hawaiian vacation and racing apparel and memorabilia.
Cars from the John Force Traveling Road Show will be on display at Wal-mart stores at 7011 Main Street in American Canyon, 2701 North Texas in Fairfield, 235 East Dorsett in Dixon, 4893 Lone Tree in Antioch and 1021 Arnold in Martinez.
The cars featured a Wal-mart include the aforementioned 25th Anniversary Castrol GTX Ford Mustang, Robert Hight’s Auto Club Ford Mustang and Force’s Castrol GTX “Warbird” Ford Mustang, Castrol GTX “Superman” Ford Mustang and the Castrol GTX HIGH MILEAGE Ford Mustang in which he won last year at Denver, Colo.
