bristol appOnce again proving its place on the cutting edge of technology and fan initiatives, Bristol Dragway debuts a first-of-its-kind mobile app for this weekend’s Ford NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals

Aimed to provide race fans with an informational tool, the app helps them keep track of the excitement in Thunder Valley.

Race fans visiting Bristol Dragway for this weekend’s activities can download the new app, the first of its kind in drag racing, which gives them up-to-date information about the events scheduled throughout the property.

The Bristol Dragway app provides fans access to race and event schedules, driver appearance schedules, facility maps and several other features to help them get even more from their experience in Thunder Valley.

Thunder Valley 101, Bristol Dragway’s revolutionary program for first-time fans, also is featured on the new app. Fans will be able to stream the Thunder Valley 101 audio broadcast which features commentary from Melanie Troxel, the only competitor to win in Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Mod.

Adding to the app’s interactivity, guests can create their own customized schedule which will alert them when a special event is set to take place.

A fan information section is loaded with detailed descriptions to answer many of the questions raised during a visit to Bristol. If guests cannot locate the answer they need, the “Talk to Thunder Valley” option allows questions to be sent directly to Bristol staff instantly through email, text or phone.

Additional features include a news section and social channel to keep the fans up-to-date with the most recent happenings and information.

The app is available now and can be downloaded for free at the Apple App Store and the Google Play store for Android phones. Apple users can download the app at http://goo.gl/dgAW1, while Android users should search for “Thunder Valley.”
