AND THE WINNER IS ...
Guess the “STEPS” in Bobby Bennett's shoes during the NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis and you could win $100 plus a t-shirt of one of NHRA Full Throttle drag racing’s leading competitors.
Bobby Bennett, the owner, editor and “marathon race reporter” of CompetitionPlus.com, will keep track of his steps each day at Indy via his trusty heart rate monitor. He’ll begin tracking the miles from the moment he exits his car to the moment he returns to his car each day.
To win the prize, you must guess the SIX day distance in STEPS Bennett travels in the shoes. The deadline to enter the contest on the CompetitionPlus.com FACEBOOK page is next Wednesday, with just one guess allowed per person.
The closest guess, without going over, will win the prize.
Here's a little help in making your guess – Bennett typically takes two trips from the media center all the way down to the sportsman pit area – nearly a mile walk each time. So, with this being a SIX day event, it makes sense to think Bennett will walk at least 12 miles [21,220 steps], but remember those miles don't count the distance to and from the parking lot, the short trips into the pit area, runs to the food counter or even trips to the bathroom.
If two people guess the same distance, the first to enter their guess will be declared the winner. Deadline is Wednesday, August 29, 2012, Noon EST.
NOTE: DO NOT PUT YOUR GUESS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE AS OFFICIAL GUESSES WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM THE FACEBOOK PAGE.
