MUSI MAKES BIG HIT

Nothing builds confidence in a new project more than a successful first outing. Pat Musi is feeling extremely confident after his initial outing behind the wheel of Khalil Toorani’s new Jerry Bickel GTO.

During the recently completed Eastern Spring Test Nationals presented by Torco’s CompetitionPlus.com at South Georgia Motorsports Park, Musi drove the Middle Eastern-based entry to a 6.31, 219 and later a 6.28, 225.

During the recently completed Eastern Spring Test Nationals presented by Torco’s CompetitionPlus.com at South Georgia Motorsports Park, Musi drove the Middle Eastern-based entry to a 6.31, 219 and later a 6.28, 225.

Once you consider those were the first two runs on the car, no shakedowns or half-track attempts, it makes the effort of the EFI-equipped entry even more impressive.

“I’m more than happy with this car when you consider how new everything is,” Musi said. “This success comes from having a strong sponsorship base and owner like Khalil Toorani. I’m looking for great things from this car.”

Musi pointed out that assistance over the course of the weekend came from Rickie Smith and the car will run the ADRL series in 2007. It will be transported to Bahrain in the off-season where Musi will drive it there.
