Now it’s official!

After weeks of internet leaking, Doug Foley and Tim Lewis have formally announced that Terry McMillen will be the driver of the team’s second Top Fuel car. Sponsorship will come from Evan Knoll’s Torco Race Fuels as it has over the last several years.

“We’ve been searching for the driver of our second car for a while now,” says Foley, “and we had quite a few applicants, but after reviewing them all we decided that Terry would be the best fit for what we are trying to accomplish. Terry licensed in Top Fuel in 2005 and competed in the World Finals that same year in Evan Knoll’s personal Top Fuel Dragster. I personally observed Terry’s transition from an alcohol Funny Car to a Top Fuel dragster, which is normally not an easy one and he handled it extremely well,” said Foley.

McMillen said, “I want to thank Doug and Tim for offering this great opportunity. Working with a team that has the tools to win a championship is awesome. I also want to thank Evan Knoll for the support that he has provided us to be competitive in Top Fuel.”

Plans call for McMillen to test after the Gatornationals and to run the entire IHRA schedule along with competing at the two NHRA races sponsored by Torco Racing Fuels. The car will be tuned by Foley & Lewis crew chief, Doug Kuch, with Glenn Camp as Terry’s car chief.

The team in the past competed with two cars running under the Mach Series Accelerator banner, however, Doug will continue to carry the Accelerator banner while Terry will be debuting the Torco Race Fuels Nitro Top Fuel Dragster.
