WHEELSTANDER NELSON LOSES BATTLE WITH CANCER

Ken Nelson, whose Cool Bus wheelstander was a mainstay on the IHRA Nitro Jam tour, has passed away.

Nelson passed away on December 14 after falling ill en route to an IHRA Nitro Jam event in Tucson last April. The illness was diagnosed as lung cancer where he returned to his home base in Ohio to undergo treatments as well as a surgery to remove a cancerous lung.

It is with overwhelming sadness we report the passing of longtime IHRA friend and colleague Ken Nelson, Thursday, December 14.

Nelson had built a large following over the years with his replica school bus down the quarter-mile on its rear tires with sparks and fireworks lighting up the night sky.

Nelson is survived by his with Anita.
