THE BRAYS REAQUAINT ADELAIDE WITH TOP DOORSLAMMERS
It’s been a decade since Top Doorslammers raced at Adelaide International Raceway in Australia. Recently, Aussie doorslammer icon Victor Bray and son Benny, provided a refresher course in front of 15,000 excited race fans.
Running on a challenging racing surface, the Brays dialed in their combination with a 4.22 best elapsed time.
“Well that was a great weekend of racing in South Australia,” said Victor. “There are times in Drag Racing when all the work involved, late nights and the ever-present costs of staying competitive seem to be overwhelming and you sometimes ask yourself ‘Why do I keep doing this?”

“The results we attained in Adelaide answered that question for us. When you have a good weekend at the track, record breaking performances, final round appearances and a weekend of fun with your family and race team, it is not only worth all the effort but gives a real sense of satisfaction.”
Benny was excited about the opportunity to make runs alongside of his father.
“I would like to say a big thank you to all concerned,” said Benny. “The fans who turned up and sat in the rain and waited for the sun to shine, I really hope you enjoyed the show and we can get to do it all again soon.”
