CARPENTER SIGNS NEW SPONSOR

In this era of constant shuffling of teams, drivers, crews, and sponsors in the
sport of drag racing, a long-term partnership can be a rarity. This makes Pro
Modified legend Charles Carpenter’s re-signing of major associate sponsor Custom
Autosound Mfg. for an almost unheard of 17th
consecutive season all the more special.
“We are thrilled to have Carl Sprague and Custom Autosound
back on board with us, just as they have been for the better part of two
decades,” said Carpenter. “We are excited about this season’s new direction, and
I am extremely happy Custom Autosound has made the decision to support us for
yet another season.”

For 2007, Carpenter and teammate Pat Doherty will be vying
for the Flowmaster American Drag Racing League’s Pro Nitrous championship. The
series’ unique format and crowd-pleasing show will travel to top-notch venues
around the country, such as the Texas Motorplex in Dallas.
“I’m anxious to return to these great tracks where I had a
lot of fun and made a lot of friends, especially during my Super Chevy days,”
added Carpenter. “In addition to that, it gives us an opportunity to garner
exposure for Custom Autosound and our other supporters in different venues than
we have been hitting for the past few years.”
Carpenter will make his 2007 debut in the “World’s Fastest
’55 Chevy” this weekend at the ADRL’s Speedtech Winter Drags in Montgomery, AL.
