Hometown heroes will take the track with some of the fastest 1/8 mile
drag racing cars in the world this weekend (2/3-4) at Montgomery
Motorsports Park.
The special season-opening Test and Tune sessions (from 9am - dark both days) will allow racers to try out the newly reconditioned MMP strip. Hometown heroes will take the track with some of the fastest 1/8 mile drag racing cars in the world this weekend (2/3-4) at Montgomery Motorsports Park.

Joining local racers this weekend will be cars from the national FlowmasterAmerican Drag Racing League, which opens its 2007 season with the SpeedTech Winter Drags at Montgomery February 16-18. Many of these cars have engines producing over 2,000 horsepower and can run a standing 1/8 mile in less than four seconds at speeds approaching 200 miles per hour.
Spectators are welcome at Montgomery Motorsports Park for the season opening Test and Tune sessions; adult admission will be $10 with children 12 and under admitted free. Each spectator admission allows fans to visit the pitarea to meet both the ADRL and hometown hero racers and their cars "up close and personal." Local racers can test all weekend at MMP for only $25.
