Big things will be happening at Indy when it comes to the Pro Stock division. There will be some prominent returns and an upgrade. NHRA’s media department has released a detailed schedule of happenings to take place during the Mac Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals beginning September 1st, and among them are two, and possibly even three major announcements involving Pro Stock.  The first will take place Friday evening on the starting line and, according to Torco’s Competitionplus.com sources, will involve the return to Chevrolet of a two-time class champion whose cars always carried distinctive and memorable paint schemes and colors. The second announcement, slated for Saturday, also concerns the return to action of a former competitor who took some time off to solidify his career away from racing.  Finally, we’re also hearing talk that another two-time titlist, who’s currently an active competitor, may also be making a significant program announcement during Indy.
