NHRA announced the addition of Tri-State Dragway to its roster of member tracks beginning with the 2007 racing season.  The facility is owned and operated by Bob and Pat Louden and is located just west of Hamilton, Ohio, on Hwy 128.  It will be part of NHRA’s North Central division.

Tri-State Dragway will participate in the NHRA Summit Racing Series, which allows division champions to compete against winners from NHRA’s other six geographic divisions for a $118,000 national championship.  The track won back-to-back team championships at the NHRA North Central Division Finals in 1988 and 1989.

The track will also host NHRA special events including the National DRAGSTER Challenge, NHRA King of the Track, and NHRA O’Reilly Auto Parts Jr. Dragster Challenge.  Additionally, Tri-State will continue to run its current weekly racing programs, March through October, for high school, street legal and sportsman bracket racing competitors.  Other special events planned include the third annual Jeg’s U.S. OPEN Bracket Championships, May 30-June 3, and its season-ending 23rd annual Rainbow Classic.

“We are pleased to welcome Tri-State Dragway to our NHRA member track network,” said Jay Hullinger, NHRA North Central division director.  “We look forward to working with Bob and Pat Louden to enhance their existing racing programs and bring their racers benefits that only NHRA can offer.”
