AEM RELEASES NEW INJECTION PUMP UPGRADE FOR WATER/METHANOL KITS

the company’s constant effort to maintain their reputation for
technological advances in the marketplace, AEM Electronics announces
the release of a running upgrade to their Water/Methanol Injection
Kits. This new recirculation-style pump offers more consistent flow at
higher line pressures across its entire delivery curve to ensure
maximum atomization for increase air charge cooling and combustion
control/efficiency on forced induction gas and diesel engines. This new
pump design now comes standard in every AEM Water/Methanol Injection
Kit or can be purchased as a separate upgrade for existing systems.

FAST™ LSXR™ 102MM INTAKE MANIFOLD FOR LS7

Revolutionary new intake manifold maximizes the performance of GM LS7 engines

The LS7 may be a powerful engine platform, but when has that ever been enough for the performance enthusiast? Now GM LS fast.jpgmanifold
technology has been completely reinvented. The engineers at FAST™
teamed up with the airflow specialists at RHS® to develop the all-new
LSXR™ 102mm Intake Manifold for raised rectangular port GM LS7 engines.
Recent testing by Katech Performance produced gains of 16 horsepower
and 18 ft/lbs of torque at the flywheel (versus the stock intake) on a
LS7 with a mild performance cam, Big Mouth 102mm Throttle Body™ and a
Killer Bee intake. Testing at the School of Automotive Machinists on a
500c.i. LSX engine with LS7 heads netted even more impressive gains of
26+ rear wheel horsepower.

THE "ULTRA-CASE" IS BACK FROM J.W. TRANSMISSIONS

The popular “Ultra-Case” is back and better then ever.  After being
down from production for several months the product line is back jw_transmissions.jpgin production, with a new and improved casting design.  

The
design includes no additional liner needed for the SFI 4.1
certification, strengthened area include the pan rail, adjustment area
and rear of the case.  Plus, this design greatly exceeds the 4.1
specifications.  Over 5,000 “Ultra-Cases” are currently in operation
since 1995 with no quality issues, no alignment issues and no porosity
issues. 

TCI® CLAIMER ELASTONER BALANCER

TCI® designs lightweight harmonic balancer for Small Block Chevy circle track “Claimer” engines that is economical, yet strong tci_balancer.jpgenough
for harsh racing conditions In circle track racing, stresses and
failures are common on OEM or “cheap” external engine components e.g.,
balancers. However, engineers at TCI® have recently designed a harmonic
balancer for Small Block Chevy “Claimer” engines that is lighter in
weight, thereby increasing engine life as well as performance.

original Pro Magnum™ stud mount rocker arm design has been the standard
of the industry for almost 20 years, but recent advancements in design
capabilities and steel casting processes have paved the way for a
“clean sheet” redesign. Utilizing years of valve train design
experience, the latest FEA stress analysis technology and an exhaustive
testing regiment (dyno & Spintron®), the COMP Cams® engineering
team left no detail to chance. Everything from casting techniques to
valve spring clearance was scrutinized to ensure that the new Ultra Pro
Magnum™ Rocker Arms not only live up to the lofty standards of their
predecessor but also took stud mount rocker performance, stability and
value to a whole new level. Consider the mission accomplished.

NEW SPORTSMAN DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM FROM RACEPAK

Introducing the all new Sportsman Data Recorder from Racepak!  This new data acquisition system is designed to meet all of the Racepak_PressRelease_Sportsman_09.jpgneeds of the sportsman racer, including their budget.    

The
new Sportsman Series incorporates the same V-Net technology used by the
professionals, but in an economically priced package. In its base
configuration, you can record and download engine and driveshaft rpm,
battery voltage, acceleration G’s and lateral G’s.   There are up to 21
channels of data available for other accessories and sensors.   

FORGED PISTONS FOR THE VORTEC 8100 8.1L MARINE BIG-BLOCK

Diamond Pistons announces the release of its direct replacement forged
piston for Chevrolet 8.1L (496ci) big-block marine engine 5_Diamond_8_1BBCpiston.jpgapplications.

Like the 454 and the 502 big-blocks, the 8.1 (RPO L18) is founded on a
9.800-inch-tall deck cylinder block though it deviates from the other
two powerplants via a 4.225-inch bore x a 4.370-inch stroke (the 454
and 502 maintain a 4.00-inch stroke).

There are three versions of the 8.1 marine engine: HP 1
(375hp/490lb-ft), HP2 (425hp/505lb-ft) and HP3 (525hp/560lb-ft). There
is also a truck version of the 8.1 rated at 340hp and 455lb-ft of
torque. All engines are equipped with 4-bolt nodular iron main bearing
caps, nodular crankshaft and forged steel 1141 connecting rods that are
magnafluxed and fitted with 9mm connecting rod cap bolts.
