Jon Asher has a tremendous amount of time in the drag racing "trenches".  He is
a highly accomplished journalist and photographer. He has provided the drag
racing fans with hundreds of unforgettable photo images over the past 35
years.
He has seem racing associations rise and fall, and has been "privvy"
to all forms of behind the scenes negotiaions and rule changes that involved all
of the major drag racing sanctions. His rapport with all fans is a lesson in
public relations and his personal knowledge of drag racing history is second to
none.  He is at ease with "racing superstars" as well as the common fan and his
hand shake is as "good as gold". 

Who at NHRA has this experience? Only
Wally Parks and he is not involved with day to day operations.
Change is in

If you REALLY want to see the stands empty then stick around for the Super
Stock, Stock, SG, SC, etc. racing during a national event. Why not eliminate
these racers from the Pro events entirely and just have PSM, PSC, TAFC, TAD, and
the Nitro classes run. Most of the time during the race is taken up with the
small cars running not the big boys.

WE can't wait to see Dean on the NHRA circut again. I hope He can get his funding
for next year.

I feel that blowers should run blowers and nitrous should run nitrous. I think Pro Mods are the best race cars in the world.

I think that Pro Mod rests on all of the nitrous guys shoulders, not just Mike
and Shannon. There are a lot of people working VERY hard on new nitrous
technology. Do think Mike and Shannon are the only ones out there?

This is a cut and dried case of  asinine lawyers with nothing better to do than file frivolous lawsuits against innocent companies. 

Dart's " Big M" has nothing whatsoever incommon or any reference to Tires. and like the article stated, They don't " OWN" the word Big, or the letter "O".  I can't even begin to fathom How they could possibly think Dart Machinery is infringing on a copywrite.  With any reasonable Judge presiding over this case, it will be thrown out as frivolous, but then again, if a liberal judge hears the case, Maskin could be screwed.

Just a note to let you know what I did. I wrote Big O and told them I was
an
NHRA announcer, (I am) and that if they went thru with this nonsense I
would
go out of my way to inform the public what schmucks they were for
wasting
Maskins time and money.

I also informed them I'd use my web site to
inform the public.

Haven't heard back from them - but maybe if the rest
of the boys
(announcers) wrote them with the same message maybe they'd get
the hint.
