Last February, Stewart-Haas Racing announced it would be moving to Ford for the 2017 NASCAR season. Since being formed in its current state in 2009, the organization has won two Monster Energy NASCAR Cup championships and 36 series races. The addition of SHR gives Ford seven full-time teams (Wood Brothers Racing, Roush Fenway Racing, Team Penske, Richard Petty Motorsports, Front Row Motorsports and Go FAS Racing).

The countdown to this year’s Daytona 500 is underway and when the cars unload for Speedweeks there will be a new Ford team on the track as Stewart-Haas Racing officially joins the manufacturer in 2017.

The 2017 season will mark the debut of Clint Bowyer as driver of the No. 14 Mobil 1 Fusion as he takes over for the retired Tony Stewart. Bowyer joins a team that includes 2004 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup champion Kurt Busch, 2014 series champion Kevin Harvick and Danica Patrick.

The four SHR Fusions will bring the total number of Fords in the field every week to 13.
