Momentum is everything, especially in motorsports.

Everything is going right for Kyle Busch. He's living in victory lane having visited there four times within a span of six weeks. Busch took a step closer to a fifth visit on Friday by winning the pole for Sunday's Windows 10 400 at Pocono Raceway.

"It certainly is nice," Busch said. "I don't know how to explain it; it's certainly nice to feel. I certainly have been through some down times, that's for sure. I just remember last summer or the summer before, I hit a stretch where I couldn't do anything right. It was really bumming me out. This year the tides are 180 degrees different so obviously being able to do everything right means a heck of a lot more in this business.

"We're just trying to ride that wave as long as it will carry us, so hopefully it's got 16 weeks left in it. It's just amazing what we're on."

The pole is the 17th time Busch has started from the top spot in his Sprint Cup career but it's the first time he's won a pole since Charlotte of last season.

Busch's fast lap of 50.444 seconds at an average speed of 178.416 mph allowed him to edge Kevin Harvick's lap of 50.514 seconds, forcing Harvick to settle for the second place starting spot.

Harvick has now qualified in the top ten 13 times in the 2015 season. 

Joey Logano powered his No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Ford laid down a lap of 50.608 seconds at 177.837 mph, putting him in the third starting spot. It marks the 15th time on the 2015 season in which Logano has started inside the top ten. 

Austin Dillon will start in the fourth position followed by Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards, Brad Keselowski and Jeff Gordon rounding out the top ten.

Martin Truex, Jr, who won at Pocono earlier this season, will start in the 13th spot and defending race winner, Dale Earnhardt, Jr, will start in the 15th position.
