Chris Buescher just didn't have enough in the tank to beat Kyle Busch.

Buescher's fuel ran dry on the race's green-white-checkered finish allowing Busch to take the checkered flag in Friday night's Food City 300. While Buescher just managed a 11th place finish, Busch celebrated his third win on the season and his eighth career Xfinity series win at Bristol.

ìI was just hoping (Buescher) would run out of gas and obviously that happened," Busch said. "It was fun. I was trying and giving it everything I had, we were just fortunate it worked out for us,î

The victory also marks the 150th time Busch has been to victory lane in NASCAR's three major touring series.

Buescher, who led 109 laps, was frustrated with his finish.

"I just ran out of gas," Buescher said. "I'm mad. It sucks. We were so good.."

Kyle Larson notched a runner up finish in the No. 42 Eneos Chevrolet followed by fast qualifier Denny Hamlin, Ty Dillon and Daniel Suarez rounding out the top five.

With the fifth place finish Suarez won the $100,000 bonus in this edition of the Dash4Cash program.

"That was a difficult race," Suarez said. "I felt like our Juniper Networks Toyota Camry was strong, very strong actually, in the long runs. But for some reason, I wasn't very strong on the short runs with cold tires I wasn't as good as some of the guys up front but as you guys know track position was very important so we gained a lot in the last pit stop where we took just right side tires and some took four tires."

Brian Scott took home a sixth place finish followed by Chase Elliott, Kevin Harvick, Regan Smith and Brendan Gaughan in the top ten.

Despite the 11th place finish Buescher still managed to maintain his lead in the points standings over Ty Dillon, now at just 19 points.
