CRASH VIDEO - DJ COX AND HIS HORRIFIC TAFC ACCIDENT

Thanks to this incredible video captured by Wesley's Racing Photography, here's a glimpse of the incredible crash suffered by DJ Cox during the Lebanon Valley NHRA Eastern Regional event.

Cox said later on his Facebook page, "Just a quick update, I am doing fine. A little swore but no serious injuries. As many of you know my father was taken to the hospital yesterday with some health problems. Basically the heat and stress of the weekend got the best of him, he is also doing fine and is expected to get released later this morn. To everyone ant Division 1 thank you for being there in our time of need. Thank you to the RFC chaplains, you were there for my family when they needed you and I cannot thank you enough.

"To my family and crew, sorry you had to go through this. Thank you for making my safety a priority when we go to the track. Charlie and John thank you for pulling those buckles so tight. I will never complain about it again. Thanks you Murf Mckinney for building a great car. It saved my life. Thanks to all the racers who supported my family during this event. The NHRA truly is one large family that I am proud to be part of. Melissa and my family, I love you. Thank you for always supporting me. I am one lucky guy to have all of you on my side. Now we move forward, this happened and we made it through it. Time to put it behind us, and go full speed ahead towards the future."

This was one nasty crash, and a testimony to the stringest safety rules put on these cars.
