Andrew Hines rode his way to the championship for the first time in the NHRA's Countdown era. Headed into the season, he was in a four-way tie with the late John Myers, brother Matt, Angelle and teammate Eddie Krawiec at three series titles. At 4, he know trails Dave Schultz for all-time championships.
