The Chevrolet COPO Camaro Development team introduced the factory-produced, race ready machine to the drag strip on Monday afternoon with impressive results right out of the box.

Driver Mike Pustelny, along with team members Russ O'Blenes, Robin Wright, Scott Roslund, and Cliff Cohen, nailed a 9.90-second, 138 mile per hour pass on the first pass off the trailer.  The COPO Camaro also ran a string of 9.70s with a  9.69, 140 as the best pass.  There were nine passes made on this combination yesterday.

The car was set up for soft launches as evidenced by the low 1.40-second short times.

Today, the Chevrolet COPO Camaro Development team, will test the naturally aspirated 427 LSX combination.
