This weekend is the 8th Annual New Year Nationals from Bradenton Motorsports Park.
It's become the race to attend to finish up the racing season and ring in the new year. Everyone considers it one of the funniest events to run every year.
Box and No-Box each race for $10,000 a day and the Juniors run for $2,000. There's a racers appreciation dinner on Friday and then a live concert and fireworks Saturday. This race will certainly live up to it's reputation as one where everyone will have a great weekend.

The Fling Race Series will enter a multi-year partnership in 2023 with Moser Engineering assuming the title rights of the Spring Fling Million long held at the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Nevada.
The franchise’s largest event, boasting a minimum guaranteed payout of $250,000 with a progressive payout structure climbing to as high as $1,000,000 based on car count, will return on April 4-8, 2023. For the first time in seven years the high-stakes bracket race will assume new branding as the Moser Engineering Spring Fling Million presented by Optima Batteries.
“We are excited to enter a new era of the Flings Race Series with Moser Engineering,” said promoter Peter Biondo. “For decades Moser has been all-in when it comes to supporting sportsman racers. The coolest part is that you can also catch the Moser family in the staging lanes at big buck bracket races. They know what it takes to build products that win races.”

What was assumed to be the final day of the RAD Torque Systems Fall Fling presented by Optima Batteries at Bristol Dragway began with a spell of intermittent precipitation that turned into a five hour rain delay, postponing the first round of JEGS Performance $30,000 Saturday eliminations until the early afternoon.
With a massive field of 648 entries, the Fling Team announced the $30,000 event would be concluded on Sunday with the intent of running through as many full rotations of eliminations as possible Saturday afternoon and evening within the window of maintaining a safe racing surface.
At the completion of the second round, it was announced that eliminations would resume with the third round at 8 a.m.
