Boost in a Can
Torco Race Fuels’ two versions of Accelerator Concentrate could be the track- and street-racers best solution to extracting additional horsepower to the engine without submitting applications for a large line of credit. The Alvarez brothers have been using the product for over a year and state, “It works as well for us [as race gas] when we’re using regular pump fuel,” Ozzie revealed. Putting the Accelerator unleaded Concentrate in their 1999 Ford Mustang Cobra – or any late-model muscle car – and by advancing ignition timing, upwards of 30-40 added horsepower is not only possible, but regularly achieved. Of course “you have to fine-tune the car’s ignition timing to make this happen, but it’s a very consistent product,” Ozzie Alvarez said. At first he was skeptical: “I felt more comfortable using race gas. But once the car was tuned to optimal conditions, the power was right where we wanted it,” he stated.
