How is attitude created? It’s a simple formula. Your thought on anything is the foundation for the way you feel about it. How do you feel…happy or angry? Maybe you are excited or fearful? Next your feeling will dictate your behavior pattern and the entire process will form your attitude. Take a moment re-read this paragraph and think it through you’ll agree. It’s important to remember you can’t control everything that happens in life. Now you may be a major director in your own movie but life will have its moments. What you can control is the way you think about or respond to things. Our thought process is ours. We own it. We control it. The problem is many of us are on autopilot in the thought area with the destination determined by the event not the pilot. You are the pilot! When a storm comes your way whether or not you fly around it or through it you must be determined and land safely on the runway to the land of positive thought. Let’s digress for a moment. Remember in life for every situation
the equal and exact opposite is true. There is no up with out a down,
east without west and negative without a positive. Now you a may think

d v e r t i s e m e n t Winners in life are in complete control of their thought process. They remain objective in any situation and they choose how they want to feel about it. In this example, objective means open to options in the way they think about things. Knowing there is a positive in every situation (there must be…that is a fact) winners respond by seeking it out. They are the movers and shakers in life. Things always seem to go their way. The opposite is also true. There are people who live dark narrow lives full of lack and limitation. Everything seems to happen to them. They seek and find the negative. It’s always there it’s only expressed in them. It all starts with awareness. Let’s revisit the autopilot deal. Most people don’t even think about their thought process because it’s already a natural for them. After all they are conditioned to think a certain way after years of practice. In actuality it’s habit. Some of us look for the negative and some positive. As we approach a new year, recharge our batteries, set goals and make those often duplicated and rarely imitated resolutions resolve to become aware of your thought process. Take control of your thoughts. Make a deal with yourself to actively look for the positive in every situation. Nobody can take your right to think, feel, and behave in any given situation. You own that, it’s your attitude. a
d v e r t i s e m e n t I want all of my readers to stop today and enjoy the biggest present of all. The present! That’s right. The present as in present tense, right now, this moment. This is your gift card of time from God. It’s your time to spend and spend it you will. Don’t waste it. All of these gift cards have spending limits. Don’t agonize over the past or worry about the future. Be happy today. Stop and smell the roses. Remember before you know it you will reflect on this time in your life as the good old days.
