Step Up In Performance With EDELBROCK’S New Victor Jr. LS1 Intake
Manifold for Carbureted Applications

- Building on the success of its Performer RPM LS1 intake,
Edelbrock's new Victor Jr. LS1 intake is the next step up in performance
for the GEN III long-block.
The Victor Jr. LS1 intake
(#2908) offers an operating range of 3,500-7,500 rpm, and the high-rise
single-plane intake is capable of supporting up to 600 hp, making it
the right set up for big horsepower GEN III engines.
The Victor Jr. LS1 accepts
an Edelbrock Performer, Thunder Series AVS carb or any similar square-bore
carburetor and comes with an MSD electronic timing module that picks
up MAP, crank position, and cam position in order to drive the stock
coil-on-plug ignition system. This module also offers a choice of several
built-in timing curves, each tailored for engine displacement, cam profiles,
and fuel grades.
Each manifold also comes
with a throttle bracket designed to work with 700R-4, 200R-4 and Turbo
350 transmissions. Most applications will require hood modification.

Proform Refines HEI Racing Distributors

NEW EXHAUST SYSTEM FOR CHEVROLET CORVETTE C6

- Pleasing Corvette enthusiasts has been both a passion and
a principle for CORSA Performance, and the company's newest exhaust
system, specifically crafted for the 2005 C6, will certainly not disappoint.
"As the Corvette continues to evolve, so too does the design and
manufacture of our world standard-setting exhaust systems," said

The high-performance, cat-back Corvette C6 exhaust features CORSA's

Edelbrock Introduces New Upper Trailing Arms for A & G Body GM Cars

- Camaro and Firebird drivers looking for better suspension response
will have a new choice in trailing arms as Edelbrock introduces part #5274.
According to Jack Mayberry, Edelbrock vice president of R&D, the
new trailing arms use a spherical ball assembly to allow the suspension
to work more effectively. "This new arm design is lighter in weight
and the ball assembly eliminates the bushing bind that is common with
polyurethane bushings during hard cornering," Mayberry said.
The new arm is constructed of 1 1/4" diameter by .120" wall
steel tubing and feature polyurethane bushings on the chassis end. The
arms are powder-coated gloss black for a long-lasting finish.

New Idle-Eze™ An Idle-Speed Tuning System

(12-6-2004) - Barry Grant, Inc. announces a new
patent-pending Idle-Eze™ baseplate; a new means of fine-tuning the idle
speed that will be offered as part of Demon Carburetion’s Speed Demon
and Mighty Demon carburetors.
The Idle-Eze™ idle-speed tuning system uses a beveled screw, which acts
on a cross-drilled seat in the baseplate to precisely meter additional air
into the intake plenum. This has the effect of precisely establishing the
idle speed after the throttle shaft position has been set in relation to
the transfer slot in the idle-speed circuit. The Idle-Eze valve is located
in a threaded hole in the middle of the baseplate and is easily accessed
with a screwdriver through the air cleaner stud hole. The top and bottom
of the baseplate, above the throttle plates, is milled with four channels
out to each throttle bore to match the holes in the valve assembly. A
spring maintains tension on the screw portion of the beveled seat valve.

THE “SOUND OF PERFORMANCE” IS HEARD FROM EDELBROCK’S NEW
PATENT-PENDING “SDT”™ CHAMBERED MUFFLERS

- Edelbrock has never sounded better. The performance leader
introduced a new line of chambered mufflers for its gasoline engine
exhaust systems at the recent SEMA Show, and showgoers got to hear the
sounds of four different types of applications.
This all-aluminized steel muffler design features Edelbrock’s unique,
patent-pending “sound deflection technology” (“SDT”) and baffled
design with no filler material to deteriorate. The result is a muffler
with a refined, muscular sound.

Edge Goes Gas: Evolution Programmer Released For Ford Triton V-8
Trucks

- Edge Products, an industry leader in diesel performance
technology, enters the gas tuning segment with a new Evolution hand-held
programmer for late-model Ford trucks. This next-generation programmer
adds power but also dramatically improves drivability and durability by
fine-tuning transmission shifting.
As with Edge's 7.3L Power Stroke programmer, the gas Evolution offers
three tuning options. Level 1 (Transmission Only) retains factory engine
power and reprograms the PCM to provide firmer shifts, helping to increase
transmission life. Moving up, Level 2 (Tow Performance) includes the
optimized transmission shifting and also modifies the ignition timing and
fuel delivery to improve overall performance. Speed and rev limiter
adjustments help sharpen throttle response. Level 3 (High Performance)
aggressively tunes fueling and ignition timing for 91-octane gas to add up
to 12% more HP and 15% more torque -- approximately 16 HP and 25 lb-ft on
the average 1997-2003 5.4L V-8.
In the process, the transmission is reprogrammed to take advantage of
the increased engine performance by providing quicker, firmer shifts.
Further, Edge's testing revealed a 1-3 mpg improvement in fuel economy
under certain driving conditions.
The Evolution also offers diagnostic and performance-capturing
capabilities. Its backlit LED display can read, describe and clear Check
Engine trouble codes. To document performance improvements, the Evolution
will capture and display both 0-60 mph and 1/4-mile times. For owners of
lifted or lowered trucks, the Evolution adjusts for non-stock tire sizes
and gear ratios (on trucks equipped with digital odometers). Evolution
installation takes about 10 minutes and doesn’t require any tools --
simply connect the programmer to the OBD-II diagnostic port underneath the
dash. Applications are currently available for 1997-2003 Ford Triton
V-8-powered trucks.
