Hypertech Is First with New F-150 Power Programmer
By Rick Voeglin

Hypertech, the world leader in power tuning products for computer-controlled vehicles, is ahead of the competition again with the first Power Programmer for 2004 and 2005 Ford F-150 trucks. Hypertech’s engineering team successfully created the codes to give Ford F-150 owners the ability to reprogram and customize their onboard computers.

Hypertech’s new Power Programmer #41034 for 2004-05 Ford F-150s with 5.4-liter V-8 engines puts the power to reprogram the onboard computer in the palm of your hand. Hypertech’s dyno-developed and road-tested Power Tuning calibrations deliver up to 25 horsepower and 40 ft./lbs. of torque over stock tuning. With Hypertech’s exclusive “87Max Technology,” the power gains with regular fuel far exceed the factory tuning, and nearly equal the increases with premium fuel. This money-saving feature means that the Power Programmer can pay for itself.

This self-contained automotive computer also allows Ford F-150 owners to adjust and customize their trucks’ performance characteristics. The rpm limiter can be adjusted to extend the engine’s operating range up to 500 rpm for more pulling power and faster acceleration. The top speed limiter can be adjusted to match the speed rating of factory-approved high-performance tires. The Power Programmer can also customize automatic transmission shift points and firmness for faster acceleration and extended transmission life. Truck enthusiasts who have installed non-stock tires (24 to 34 inches diameter) or rearend gears (2.73:1 to 4.56:1 ratios) can use the Power Programmer to adjust part-throttle shifting and to correct the speedometer and odometer readings (as required by law).

Hypertech Power Tuning can be installed through the vehicle’s diagnostic connector in minutes, without tools or knowledge of computers. The Power Programmer identifies the individual vehicle, downloads a specific Power Tuning program, and stores the stock tuning, which can be restored at any time.

Information on the complete line of Hypertech Power Tuning products is available from Hypertech, 3215 Appling Rd., Bartlett, TN 38133, phone 901-382-8888, the company’s website, www.hypertech-inc.com or e-mail at sales@hypertech-inc.com
