VIDEOS FROM THE OCIR

Dwight Guild has a video page to die for if you're a fan of the classic stuff. His countless videos focusing on racing at Orange County International Raceway in Southern California has not only some of the finest footage from January 1980 and 1981, but also great sound.

"I shot many many hours of "home movie" style drag race video, primarily from OCIR, 1979 thru 1983," wrote Guild on his Youtube.com channel. "I decided to break down the videos into individual runs, and load them up for racers, their families, fans, and friends to enjoy. Aside from shooting tons of video over the years, I also served as a crew member or crew chief on various cars, including several of Hayden Proffitt's. Props to Hayden, my racing mentor, and Al Amato, my video mentor."

1986 IHRA POP HOT ROD NATIONALS

The video will take you back to an era when the top name professional drag racers were able to compete in both sanctioning bodies. Cameo appearances include the late Scott Kalitta, Kenny Bernstein, Darrell Alderman and Roy Hill just to name a few.

1970 - NHRA SUPERNATIONALS

Many drag racing fans spend countless hours on YouTube.com during the Holiday weekends. We'd like to share our latest gem.

According to noted drag racing historian Bret Kepner, this documentary is one of many repackaged Chrysler Corporation-produced drag racing films shot from 1963 - 1973 for rent through their dealerships. ESPN included these films in their Glory Days series, hosted by Dave Despain, which aired in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

1971 - DRAG RACING ON ABC WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS
